AFSCME endorses Hillary Clinton for President; West Coast AFSMCE councils oppose early endorsement

The AFSCME Executive Board voted today to endorse New York Senator Hillary Clinton as the democratic candidate for President of the United States. The vote was 23-10.
Northwest AFSCME International Vice Presidents, Greg Devereux (Washington Federation of State Employees) and Ken Allen (Oregon Council 75) both voted against the early endorsement and were joined by all west coast AFSCME affiliates who also voted against the proposal.
